Partnership for Children:Early Care and Education Work Group
The Early Care and Education Work Group is charged with developing early care and education strategies that address priority areas established by the Partnership. For their work, the Partnership has defined early care and education as child care services and preschool programming designed to educate young children. The Work Group is further charged with making recommendations to the full Partnership regarding those decisions that have broad or significant impact or implications and reporting to the Partnership on a regular basis about the Work Group’s progress and accomplishment of tasks within agreed upon timelines.
Specifically, the Early Care and Education Work Group will collaborate to:
- Coordinate the early care and education services provided by partner agencies (consistent with agency and/or program requirements).
- Develop early care and education strategies that address priority issues or gaps in service as identified by the Partnership.
- Formulate a recommended implementation plan to be shared with the Partnership at designated times for discussion and approval.
- Identify the resources necessary to implement the developed strategies.
- Design an evaluation process for measuring the effectiveness of the strategy in coordination with the Data Management Work Group.
As a result of its actions, the Early Care and Education Work Group will increase the effectiveness of the Partnership’s early care and education services and strengthen its efforts to address its priority issues.
