Child Abuse Prevention Month Activities- Open to Public
Tuesday Brown Bag Lunch Series, Basketball Tournament with child abuse prevention booth, & forum “Talking About Tough Topics”

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and several community agencies are sponsoring a series of brown bag lunches each Tuesday of the month. Topics will include dealing with parental stress, safely reporting child abuse, and local resources that exist to prevent and address child abuse and neglect. Other activities in April include a 3-on-3 basketball tournament held in
Washington

, where attendees can obtain information about community resources and enjoy child friendly activities, and a “Talking About Tough Topics” forum on talking to clients about substance abuse, depression, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
These presentations will be of interest to parents, teachers, social workers, and others interested in learning about how to prevent child abuse in their community.
