GUIDE TO YOUTH SERVICES SHOWCASES LOCAL RESOURCES FOR YOUTH

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-- After 18 months of intensive research into the resources available to youth in the community, the Charlottesville/Albemarle Commission on Children and Families is releasing its newest edition of the Guide to Youth Services for the Charlottesville/Albemarle Community this week.

The much-anticipated Guide to Youth Services contains information on over 400 programs administered by more than 170 Charlottesville/ Albemarle human service agencies and other family-related organizations, with detailed listings covering health, education, recreation and social programs and services. The Guide is a valuable reference for local social service agencies, teachers, community leaders, and parents or new residents who would like an introduction to the area's many resources.

Copies of the 2002-2004 Guide to Youth Services for the Charlottesville/Albemarle Community are available online at the Commission on Children and Families' website, www.ccfinfo.org.

The Guide is distributed free to local organizations serving youth and families. Copies are available to residents. A donation of $6 per copy is suggested in order to support future reprints and wider circulation. Those who wish to pick up a hard copy of the Guide may come to the Commission's offices at 1600 5th Street, between the hours of 8:30 am-5 pm Monday through Friday.
