Charge
The CNES Committee was charged with ensuring the implementation of the five goals established as a result of the community roundtable discussion.  Those goals were:

1. Expand on the “team approach” of collaboration among agencies;

2. Bring services into the communities where and when they are needed most;

3. Improve the system of services for transitioning children back to the community following placement;

4. Tackle domestic violence in cooperative community efforts; and

5. Fill the gaps in local services including assessment/diagnostic center and secure facility to provide continuum of services.

The Committee is further charged with making recommendations to the full Commission regarding those decisions that have broad or significant impact or implications from the identified goals and with providing regular and ongoing information and updates to the Commission on the activities associated with the strategies.

Timeline
The Committee will develop a timeline for completion of strategies to present to the Commission.  As a result of the actions associated with these strategies, the Committee will act as an information source, as an advisor and a catalyst for the work of the Commission.
